Meet Dr. Bandola

Dr. Bandola is a leading interventional spine and pain specialist. He combines advanced interventional/minimally invasive procedures, physical therapy, non-opioid medications, and other adjunctive modalities to diagnose and treat various painful spine and musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Bandola has specialized expertise in advanced interventional procedures – including SI joint arthrodesis/fusion, spinal cord stimulation and implantable devices, image-guided percutaneous lumbar decompression, as well as novel minimally invasive techniques for chronic low back pain.

After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Bandola completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Columbia University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident and also completed a clinical fellowship in interventional pain medicine. During his fellowship, he was a visiting fellow at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Bandola is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Board of Anesthesiology. He has multiple academic presentations to his credit, has lectured on a wide array of topics, and has been published in both peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. In addition, Dr. Bandola was a long-time assistant clinical professor at Columbia University Medical Center.

In his free time, Dr. Bandola participates in sports, weight training, and various amateur race events. He also enjoys the outdoors and skiing with his wife and three young children.
