Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey has opened their brand new Gamma Knife Center.

Our own Dr. Ty J. Olson is Co-Director of the Center and had the honor of cutting the ribbon at the dedication held on May 24th.

A Gamma Knife isn’t really a knife. It does however use highly concentrated Gamma Rays to target tumors and other lesions in the brain without disturbing the normal surrounding tissues.

Gamma Knife procedures are a non-invasive alternative to traditional open surgery and most often can be done in an out-patient visit and with virtually no pain.

We are pleased we have this new center to treat our patients.
