Meet Dr. Walia
Dr. Walia earned his medical degree from Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal, India, where he also completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology.
He then continued his anesthesiology training at the University Hospital of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, followed by a fellowship in pain medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Hospital in Baltimore.
Dr. Walia’s practice focuses on interventional pain management, and he works closely with each patient to design comprehensive treatment plans that combine options such as physical therapy and conservative medication with minimally invasive procedures when appropriate.
He remains actively involved in clinical research, helping evaluate new medications that target or block pain pathways, and he has authored multiple professional articles on anesthesiology and pain management.

He went on to complete an additional residency in anesthesiology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. Dr. Walia then pursued advanced subspecialty training through a fellowship in pain medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
