With his background in Computer Science and engineering, combined with published research in prestigious journals such as the American Journal of Orthopaedics and the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, he has established himself as one of the region’s most innovative spine surgeons, serving patients at the Livingston, Edison, and Nyack offices.

After earning his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center and a specialized spine fellowship at UC San Diego Medical Center. His dedication to excellence has earned him multiple honors, including Castle Connolly Top Doctor, Essex/Morris Top Doctors, and NJ Monthly Select Surgeons awards.

Training & Education

Dr. Grossman received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He went on to receive his master’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. As an engineer, he worked for Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine and General Electric’s Global Research Center developing technologies for various medical applications.

Dr. Grossman’s passion for technology, combined with his lifelong interest in the musculoskeletal system, led him to pursue his Doctor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. After medical school, Dr. Grossman completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Immediately following his residency, Dr. Grossman completed a Spine Surgery fellowship at the University of California at San Diego Medical Center.
