About Dr. Gaetan Moise

Dr. Gaetan Moise is dedicated to helping patients achieve pain-free lives through non-surgical and minimally invasive surgical options.

Meet Dr. Moise

Dr. Moise specializes in the minimally invasive treatment of cervical and lumbar degenerative disease, cervical myelopathy, herniated discs, nerve compression, spine and nerve tumors, tethered spinal cord, scoliosis, and spinal reconstruction.  He has helped develop minimally invasive treatment options for Chiari Malformation.  He is focused on ensuring that his patients fully understand their condition, breaking down complex imaging and test results as well as treatment options into clear explanations.  Dr. Moise invests time and effort to help patients stay informed through every step of the healthcare journey.

Whether discussing a diagnosis or walking through a treatment plan, Dr. Moise takes time to listen and explain—offering the clarity patients need to make empowered decisions.

Dr. Moise uses the latest advancements in minimal access technology to treat a wide range of spinal conditions using small incisions and tubular access ports to minimize disruption of natural tissue plains, reducing pain and recovery time.  He tailors his approach to each patient’s unique needs with deep expertise, compassion, and precision.

Training & Education

Dr. Moise received his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from the College of Physicians & Surgeons at Columbia University, graduated Magna Cum Laude, and was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He continued his education at the College of Physicians & Surgeons and was awarded his medical degree, honored as a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha, and was designated as one of P&S Class of 2004 Exemplars of Outstanding Humanism & Compassion. Dr. Moise completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in Neurological Surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia University. He also served as Chief Resident to the Department of Neurological Surgery.

In addition to his work with Neurosurgeons of New Jersey, Dr. Moise is an Assistant Professor in Adult Neurosurgery at the Neurological Institute of New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He is also an attending physician in the Department of Adult Neurosurgery at The Valley Hospital, St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, and Saint Barnabus Medical Center.

Dr. Moise is a member of The Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Moise is a board-certified neurological surgeon, a fellow of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, and a member of both The Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He has also authored several peer-reviewed publications.
